Michelle is a native of Oakville, where she attended Sheridan College. She has been a proud resident of the Quinte area for the last 20 years. Michelle had worked primarily in pencil and pen/ink, but has embraced colour more over the last several years and has been branching out into watercolour and chalk pastel. Michelle has been involved in many local shows, has had work displayed in local galleries and was a contributing illustrator for five Historical Atlas’ which were updated and re-issued by Fifth Line Press out of Stirling.

Artist's Statement

I love doing portraits, every portrait is a celebration of a life and a joy to create. I love to find that “sparkle” that makes each subject unique. Even when doing a landscape or building, it feels like a portrait to me. It’s all about finding that special something; that mossy rock or swirling cloud…and then building the piece around it.
