Trenton – August 23, 2011 – Quinte’s artists have been enjoying the beautiful countryside of Quinte West and are bringing a bit of it back to downtown Trenton. Their next themed exhibit at Quinte West City Hall is entitled ‘Out In The Country’, celebrating rural life through paintings and photography. The exhibition takes place in the Arts Quinte West Showcase, a permanent space provided by City Hall for the promotion of arts activities by the arts organization. A reception with the artists will be held on Thursday, September 1 from 4:30pm to 5:30pm and the exhibit continues until the end of October.

“It’s been a beautiful summer and we want to acknowledge the beauty that surrounds us”, said Mary Britt, Director of Exhibitions for Arts Quinte West. “‘Out In The Country’ will feature paintings and photographs of the homes, barns, flora and fauna that we’re so fortunate to have nearby.”

Arts Quinte West has a busy fall season coming up, with exhibitions at the Trenton Scottish-Irish Festival, Savour and their fourth annual Autumn Show & Sale, with a new venue to be announced shortly. Their next general membership meeting on Thursday, September 29th will feature demonstrations of various techniques by six artists, set up at stations around the meeting space.
